Founder Story

Fund Studio began not as an agency, but as an observation made over years of freelance work.

Adam spent his early career as an independent crowdfunding specialist, running campaigns across categories long before Fund Studio existed. Somewhere along that path, one niche kept pulling him back: film. What started as one project became a pattern, and the pattern became a pursuit. He immersed himself fully in the mechanics of filmmaking, from financing structures to festival strategy, until he understood not just how campaigns were funded, but how films were actually made.

That immersion surfaced a problem most filmmakers never see coming. Every film needs a stack of documents to move forward: a pitch deck for investors, a grant proposal for funders, an EPK for press, a campaign for backers. Most filmmakers assemble these piece by piece, handing each one to a different freelancer with no connection to the others. The result is a portfolio of documents that technically exist but don't speak with one voice. Investors read one tone, grantors read another, and the audience meant to rally behind the project receives something that never quite lands.

Adam saw this pattern repeat across project after project, and he saw exactly what was missing: not more specialists, but specialists working from the same foundation.

That insight became Fund Studio. Rather than build a traditional agency, Adam brought together independent specialists, each expert in a single discipline, from grant writing to pitch decks to distribution, and united them around one operating principle. Every document a film produces should read as though it came from the same mind, because it needs to convince different audiences of the same truth. The specialist stays freelance. The standard stays fixed. That combination has proven itself across years of campaigns, grants and launches since.
